The Ammonia Alert® Badge is a compact, easy-to-use sensor designed for continuous monitoring of toxic free ammonia in marine aquariums. It uses a colour-changing sensor that shifts from yellow (safe) to green, then blue (toxic), alerting you to rising ammonia levels—before fish show any signs of stress.

Specially suited for the Living Ecosystem Aquarium, this badge requires no water sampling, chemicals, or test kits. It responds to increasing ammonia in about 15 minutes, while drops in ammonia take up to 4 hours to reflect. A dry sensor may appear slightly green and can take a few days to stabilise once in water.
