This pack includes five single-polyp Neon Grass Green Morph corals (Rhodactis sp.), selected for their bright green colour and shifting light response. As light transitions throughout the day, specific coral proteins are excited by changing wavelengths, creating a display that mirrors natural reef rhythms. In the soft blue light of dawn and dusk, green fluorescent proteins (GFPs) in these corals are excited by 450 nm wavelengths, producing a calm, glowing meadow effect. The Emerald Green Rhodactis Corallimorph (Rhodactis sp.) is a fleshy, textured coral relative known for its vibrant colour and bold surface structure. Native to the Indo-Pacific, this corallimorph is ideal for bringing depth, motion, and visual contrast to the Living Ecosystem Aquarium, especially in shaded or lower reef zones.

Each polyp ranges from 30–70 mm in diameter, forming a thick, dome-shaped disc covered in lobes, folds, or bubble-like vesicles. The colouration is most vivid at the growth margins, where emerald green, grass-like fluorescence appears on raised ridges and tips, especially under blue or actinic lighting. Deeper tones of forest green or teal may occur toward the centre, often with a subtle sheen or aqua hue depending on lighting angle and flow.

This coral thrives in low to moderate light and gentle water flow, making it perfectly suited for lower tank zones, reef ledges, and shaded slopes. Its fleshy body anchors easily to substrate, and its surface texture adds richness and structure to any aquascape, especially when paired with smoother or branching coral forms.

Morphs
Corallimorphs (Order Corallimorpharia) are soft-bodied, anemone-like and coral-like marine invertebrates known for their hardiness and diverse colour forms, making them highly popular in reef aquariums. 

Reproduction
The Emerald Green Rhodactis reproduces asexually through fission and pedal laceration, slowly developing new individuals from tissue splits or detachment. Like other morph corals, it often exhibits episodic colony growth — remaining unchanged for extended periods, then rapidly producing multiple daughter polyps over a few weeks. This burst-growth behaviour results in fast encrusting of rock surfaces and contributes to a lush, living reef base.
