Meet the newest members of the clean-up crew, three little hermit crabs.
You might notice that one of them looks a little different.
That’s because it’s actually living inside an old zombie snail shell after moving into a new home. You can already see them starting to come out and explore. Hermit crabs are some of the best natural cleaners you can add to the aquarium.
They spend their time roaming around the tank helping keep things tidy and becoming part of the ecosystem.
What makes them great is that they’re:
- hardy
- active
- low maintenance
- fun to watch
You can even give them names and start recognising their different personalities.
Together with the snails, they form what we call the clean-up crew.
They quietly work in the background helping maintain a healthier aquarium.
