Unwanted algae and cyanobacteria thrive when excess nutrients are present and there is a lack of beneficial bacteria to compete with them. Ironically, equipment used to keep aquariums clean—such as protein skimmers, UV sterilizers, and ozone—can remove these helpful bacteria from the water column, while having no effect on algae and cyanobacteria attached to surfaces.

L’Unidose Algae Control, using Dr Tim’s Aquatics bacteria, offers a targeted, long-term approach by restoring the natural balance in your tank. Each single-dose vial delivers a precise blend of beneficial bacteria that work in three stages:

• Suppress existing cyanobacteria and algae
• Repopulate the system with beneficial bacteria that consume excess nutrients
• Eliminate those nutrients as the skimmer removes the bacteria carrying them

The process is simple—start with the first vial and follow the daily program included in the pack. Within days, you’ll notice clearer water and improved conditions. 

Instructions for use:

1. Take the program card and note the date (Day 1).
2. Find the vial labelled Day 1 and detach it.
3. Shake the vial well.
4. Tap the top to remove solution and break open the vial.
5. Pour the full contents into the aquarium.
6. Dispose of the vial in the recycling bin.
7. Follow the program card daily for the next step.
