Reproduction

Green Star Polyps reproduce asexually by spreading their mat-like base, or stolon, over nearby surfaces. As they expand, new polyps emerge from the mat, forming new colonies. This encrusting growth habit makes them a self-propagating coral that can cover available space rapidly, enhancing the living element of the reef system. Regular trimming can be used to manage growth and maintain desired aquascape structure.
