How Is Our Aquarium Different

Transcript

This video is about what makes a Living Oceans aquarium different from a normal marine tank.

How is this different to a normal tank?

It comes down to balance, science, and sustainability.

With a conventional marine aquarium, there can be a lot of complex equipment involved and they can be difficult to set up. Often they take four to six weeks to establish before you can even put anything in there.

Then you have to choose your livestock and navigate all of that process yourself.

You’ll usually have support from a shop, but over time that support can change and you often end up spending hours online trying to work out what to do next.

It can be really difficult and what that often results in is high fish mortality, unsuccessful attempts, frustration, and a lot of wasted money.

With a Living Oceans aquarium, we’ve designed the process differently.

When you buy one of these, from day one you receive a system that already includes aquaculture live sand, live bio media, and beneficial bacteria already established.

The reef goes in exactly in the configuration we supply and the startup process has been carefully planned to make the system easier and more successful.

To reduce the risk of failure, we recommend introducing livestock in stages:

  • start with three fish
  • introduce five corals each month
  • add the clean-up crew after the first month

Every part of that process has been designed to create balance and reduce the chance of things going wrong.

You don’t need to figure it all out yourself or spend endless time researching.

You simply follow our videos and work through the process step by step.

This has never been created anywhere in the world before and it’s amazing to see it come to life.

We’re incredibly excited to be part of it and we hope you enjoy the experience of owning your Living Oceans aquarium.

Thanks for watching.
